Matthew is a seasoned engineering professional with a journeyman electrician background. He has 26 years of electrical industry experience and is a registered professional engineer with special emphasis in power system operation, maintenance, and design. Matt’s power system modeling and analysis experience includes load flow, power factor correction, short circuit, equipment evaluation, breaker coordination, and flash hazard analysis. Matt’s time as a Commissioned Officer in the Iowa Army National Guard speaks to his diligence in attention to detail, leadership, and professionalism.

Biography
Matthew started working professionally in the electrical industry in 1996 upon completion of high school. Starting out as a construction helper, he was quickly exposed to commercial and industrial electrical construction processes, and worked his way through a five-year electrical apprenticeship program sponsored by the Iowa Department of Labor. While working as a journeyman electrician, Matthew worked on many types of projects to include healthcare, manufacturing, industrial controls, commercial office, fire alarm, structured cabling, and government projects.
As an electrical engineer Matthew has experience in planning, designing, and commissioning electrical projects. He has performed work on commercial, industrial, utility, wind energy, healthcare, and government projects. Matthew has led various small teams over the past decade, and also has experience leading an organization of over 100 personnel.
